JAMS AND MARMALADES

GREEN TOMATOES, VANILLA AND RUM 

 

INGREDIENTS: 

Green tomatoes, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, rum

The neutral taste of local tomatoes at the end of the harvest season meets the perfumed notes of natural vanilla and barrique rum

 

USES AND COMBINATIONS 

Excellent with aged cow cheeses. Ideal to be combined with salty pastry.

PLUM AND MALLOW FLOWERS 

 

INGREDIENTS: 

Plums, sugar, mallow flowers and leaves, cornflowers, lemon juice

The yellow plum of Tc-Sun variety from the Valdaso gives this jam a bright colour and a taste of fresh ripen fruit.

The mallow flowers, a plant with well-known anti-inflammatory properties, provides a pleasant floral note.

 

USE and COMBINATONS 

Excellent for breakfast with wholewheat bre- ad and butter.

APRICOT AND GINGER 

 

INGREDIENTS: 

Apricots, sugar, ginger, lemon juice

Ginger is grated and added at the end of the cooking process. Sweet/sour taste of ripen apricot with an aftertaste of fresh ginger.

 

USE and COMBINATIONS 

Excellent for breakfast on buttered toasted bread, ideal when it accompanies cakes and shortbread biscuits.

APPLE COMPOTE 

 

INGREDIENTS: 

Apples, sugar, oranges, almonds, raisins, lemon juice.

Local “Pink Lady” apple jam enriched with our candied orange cubes, toasted almonds and

raisins.

 

USE and COMBINATIONS 

Ideal for home-made cakes, combined with custard and pieces of apple.

Excellent also for an energetic breakfast before practising sports.

BIONDO DEL PICENO ORANGE 

 

INGREDIENTS: 

Oranges, sugar, lemon juice

The oranges used come from Marche region, between San Benedetto and Grottammare, cities where citrus fruits were marketed since 1800.

Pulp and grated peel left tomacerate in the sugar and then cooked in a

pot according to the traditional manufacturing process.

 

USE AND COMBINATION 

This marmelade can be accompanied with toasts and butter for a classic breakfast or used for preparing a fluffy cake. Excellent with fresh soft ches- ses like Stracchino or Ricotta.

 

TASTE 

Sweet and slightly acidulous

STRAWBERRY AND LEMON 

 

INGREDIENTS: 

Strawberries, sugar, candied lemon, lemon juice. Strawberry jam with candied lemon cubes.

 

USE and COMBINATIONS 

Ideal for breakfast with toasted bread and butter, excellent for home-made pies. Excellent if combined with fresh soft cheeses like ricotta and stracchino or blue cheeses.

PEACH AND TOASTED ALMOND 

 

INGREDIENTS: 

Peaches, sugar, roasted almonds, lemon juice

The peach tree is a fruit tree native to the China, where it was considered a symbol of immortality. This jam is produced from fruits of local farmers, embellished with toasted almonds that give an excellent intake of mineral salts and vitamins

 

USE AND COMBINATIONS 

Excellent for breakfast with toast and butter, ideal with cakes and biscuits.

PEACH AND ANISE 

 

INGREDIENTS: 

Peach, sugar, lemon juice and anise.

White peach jam with Sibillini green anise’s seeds.

 

USE AND COMBINATIONS 

Excellent combination of fruit and anise seeds. It brings energy for breakfast or before doing sports.

Excellent if used for homemade pies and whit fresh soft cheeses.

INGREDIENTS: 

Oranges, sugar, lemon juice.

Sicilian orange pulp and grated peel left to macerate in the sugar and then cooked in a pot according to the traditional manufacturing process.

 

USE and COMBINATIONS 

The sweet and slightly bitter taste of this marmalade can be accompanied by toasted bread and butter for a classical breakfast.

Excellent if combined with roasted meat, e.g. duck, or fresh soft cheeses like ricotta and stracchino.

PURPLE PLUM JAM 

 

INGREDIENTS: 

Plums, sugar, lemon juice.

The plum used, of the Stanley variety, is a fruit rich in vitamins, mineral salts and fibers. From the ovoidal shape, with dark purple skin and yellowish-green pulp, firm, medium-sweet and sour, this plum has late ripening between the end of August and the beginning of September.

 

USE 

Being very energetic it is perfect to start the day in a healthy and nutritious way.

Ideal for a healthy breakfast, excellent with fragrant biscuits or bread and butter,

or to stuff sweets, pies or croissants.

Do not miss the combination with goat or fresh ricotta cheeses.
